Default Hittegods - You Reap What You Sow

Hittegods may not be a household name, but they are working to change all that with the release of their new EP, You Reap What You Sow. The CD is the fourth EP from the Helsinki band, and the first to be produced by Olli Kykkanen, a man who has worked with legnedary Finnish hard rock band, Peer Gunt, as well as others.

You Reap What You Sow is a four track, heartfelt mini masterpiece from the Helsinki trio, comprised of Mikko Lahdeaja (guitar/vocals), Anssi Korkiakoski (bass/backing vocals) and HP Nummela (drums).

Mikko Lahdeja's vocals are reminiscent of soundgargen's Chris Cornell, whilst the band themselves are tight and at times, almost nostalgic of a form of rock and roll that is seldom heard playing on rock radio stations today.

Progression is very important for any band looking to stay in the public eye, and it is something Hittegods are very aware of. The new EP expands on the music existing Hittegod fans love, whilst showing clear and impressive improvement. The EP even has a ballad on it, 'Live and Learn', which is a first for the band.

A definate highlight of the CD is the track, 'We Shall Never Surrender', a classic rock and roll anthem with some real passion and power behind it. The riff is catchy and the beat is sure to have your feet moving.

Although Hittegods may still be searching for the right record deal, musical efforts like this one are a evidence enough that the band can hold their own in today's rock market.
